Frequently Asked Question

There are two ways to access your email.

• Through our Webmail (mail.arditi.pt)
• Through an Email Client
  

We suggest you use one the following Email Client: Mail (on Mac), Thunderbird (on Windows/Linux).

Please make sure that you enter your full email address for the username field.

For example, first.last@arditi.pt or first.last@iti.larsys.pt or first.last@oom.arditi.pt

Email client configuration:

Incoming
==========================
Name of the server: mail.arditi.pt
Port: 143
Protocol: IMAPS (IMAP with STARTTLS)

Outgoing
==========================  
Name of the server: mail.arditi.pt
Port: 587
Protocol: SMTPS (SMTP with STARTTLS)

Note: In Thunderbird email client, Settings > Security and Authentication >  the Authentication Method should be  Normal Password.

Mail (Mac):

1. Open "Mail"
2. Choose to add an account and select "Other Mail Account..."
3. Fill your email address and password and click "Sign In"
4. On the "Account Type" select "IMAP", on "Incoming Mail Server" and "Outgoing Mail Server" write "mail.arditi.pt", then click "Sign in"
5. Select which apps you want to use the account for and click done
6. Mail is ready to use

Thunderbird (Windows/Linux):

1. Download thunderbird at https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/
2. Install thunderbird and open it
3. Fill your credentials
4. On the server configurations, put the configuration shown in "Email client configuration" section and on the authentication method pick "normal password
5. Click connect and let your emails sync
6. Thunderbird is ready to use
